PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

3/96 to present Web Development Consultant - Professional web site development services including instructional and commercial technology integration. I am currently consulting for, and producing commercial web developments for area businesses with an expanding client base for new and redeveloped web sites. I also consult for area ISD's, school districts, and educational support agencies concerning technology aspects of curriculum including technology integration and educational web usage issues, strategies, and classes in web design. I have designed and facilitated numerous workshops on educational technology integration. I also consult for Michigan State University in E. Lansing, MI. involving web development programs and web site design.
6/98 to present Technology Workshop Facilitator - Design and conduct workshops on technology integration for teachers, web development and graphic design. Workshops held through the Ionia County ISD and the Clinton County RESA, Eaton Co. ISD, Ingham Co. ISD, Michigan State University, Capital Area Science and Math Center, and Eaton Rapids Public Schools.

Physical Science/Natural Science Teacher (high school) - Eaton Rapids High School, Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Major accomplishments: Eaton Rapids Teacher of the Year, 1993. Developed a custom multimedia instructional software and text for physical science aligned with the State of Michigan Content Standards and Benchmarks. Its design was based on a constructivist approach to teaching science, and it allowed changes in lesson software and text in order to maximize alignment with the state benchmarks. The software design and accompanying text materials promoted the addition of new teacher-created units with reproducible materials that eliminate the need for a commercial text. Also developed a new web-based natural science course for student-published science software.

11/95 to 6/98

Facilitator - Eaton County Science Curriculum Coordination and Alignment study. Working with two other curriculum leaders in Eaton county to lead teacher development teams through the curriculum alignment process, including unit development and assessment strategies. Recently facilitated math curriculum alignment workshops and materials for the Eaton ISD.

6/95 to 6/98

Project Leader Trainer - Developed and taught Project Leader program for elementary and middle school science teacher leaders in all Eaton County K-8 schools. All trained science leaders to lead teachers in their respective buildings in developing and coordinating a constructivist approach to meeting the state benchmarks in science.

Chair, Eaton Rapids Public Schools Technology Committee - The committee involved community leaders, technology consultants and teachers working together to develop a plan to guide the implementation of computer networking and technology into the school district, taking budget and district-wide needs into account. The Technology Plan has been adopted and implementation has begun.

Science Department Chair, High School. Major accomplishment: Chaired Eaton Rapids K-12 Science Curriculum Alignment Study, 1988. Coordinated textbook and equipment selection and purchase with the district's curricular needs. Produced videos for all elementary teachers to help provide a uniform implementation of the new curriculum.
